Now the upgrade is done, I&#8217;ll spend the week playing with it before upgrading my client&#8217;s systems.<\/p>\n<p>Below is listed the new features and the upgrade steps.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"rg_i alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRYcMYBqU_Hnv9L5ChGjixZXsdWh1Rhe1aWSyfbFG9no5cwWkR5-A\" alt=\"Micro Focus GroupWise 2014 R2 Upgrade images\" name=\"DcQ8Ub_7Mau-xM:\" data-sz=\"f\" width=\"360\" height=\"92\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Release<\/b> \u2013 Micro Focus released GroupWise 2014 R2 Upgrade on December 9, 2015<\/p>\n<p><b>Features<\/b> \u2013 New features introduced with R2<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>GroupWise Mac support:<\/b> CalDAV and CardDAV support will provide the ability to use the Mac Calendar and Mac Contacts apps in addition to existing IMAP support for Mac Mail.<\/li>\n<li><b>Invite to appointments:<\/b> Even if you aren&#8217;t the organizer, you can invite others to appointments. A notification is sent to both the organizer and invitee after an invitation to keep everyone in the loop.<\/li>\n<li><b>Propose a new time:<\/b> When you receive a meeting invitation you can&#8217;t accept, you can simply propose a different time with the assistance of a busy search.<\/li>\n<li><b>Bidirectional flag sync:<\/b> Now when you flag a message on your mobile device, it will appear on your desktop and vice versa.<\/li>\n<li><b>Other usability features, \u2063\/b&gt; such as Quick Responses and Voting, will improve communication and productivity.<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Additionally, GroupWise 2014 R2 offers Active Directory single sign-on support<!--more--> and photos in the GroupWise system address book<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Upgrade <\/b>\u2013 Installation was quick, only took 45 minutes after getting the files to the server.
